How to use lables?

Sometime I feel the 'button' element should be really called 'label'. So when you want to add labels with fancy font type, then you should use 'button' element. Then in the property panel on the right, in the mouse event box are, pick 'do nothing'. Otherwise the label will be clickable, and will open another page (the front page by default).

How to edit text?

a. create a text area by drag the text element from top left toolbox to main stage
b. double click it to open the text editor
c. after you are done, close the text editor, and resize/move the text area to your desired location and size.

How to change text/image/button property?

a. in design mode, select that element in main stage
b. on the right panel, the top portion is the element list
c. on the right panel, the bottom portion is the properties of the selected element.

Normally there are several pages for that element properties, common - layout and shadow (for button only).

The layout page in the property panel controls how to place the element. This is especially useful for background elements.

For example, assume there is a logo image in the background. When container (the browser window) is resized, how do you want the logo to move? If you want the logo to be in top left corner, then you should pick 'left' and 'top', then the logo will keep a fixed distance to the left and top of the container. If you want the logo to stay with book, then you should pick center for both x and y directions. (I know I did not explain well for this feature, play with these settings and resize the editor window, you will see what I mean).

How to change page properties?

a. click on a page snap shot at the bottom
b. on the right panel, the 'page' tab should visible, if not click 'page' to make it visible.
c. the bottom half of the 'page' tab is the property panel for that page. right now it has only page id and page color.

How to add image/text/label button?

For text and label buttons, you simply drag/drop the element from the top left tool box to the main stage. make sure the  main stage is in design mode, not preview mode.

To add your image, you can directly drag images from your desktop. you can drag multiple images at once. NOTE: please make sure you drop them on the book page and not on the background (you won't see them on the background). There will be options in a dialog so you can drop them in one page, or create multiple pages.

Images need to be sized to the size of your book.  For those who have the book lite the largerst they can be is 400 x800 pixels at 72 DPI (the long side is 800 pixels).  If you have the Premium book then you will need to size your images to the size you created for your book, for a sqaure book you would do something like 400 tall by 800 wide as it goes by a double page spread, again size images for your double page at 400 x 800 at 72DPI. If you change the settings to something else then you would size your images at 72DPI and the pixel size you have selected

note 1: please resize the image before you put them into your book pages
note 2: if the image is on  the background, and it's moved to the book area, then the image cannot be accessed by mouse. you have to move it using the image property panel - layout tab.

How to add/move/delete pages?
